Cabins
(Gondola and Trams)
Gondola
Few of these exist at smaller hills, ...
A more complex way of moving more people, faster to the top (or bottom). Not usually found at local hills until elevations start to exceed 2000 feet. A very Gucci way to move 4-8 skiers up and down the hill.

Key points:
Getting Ready:
-
Remove boots from skis before you get in the line, ensure to bring skis and poles with you,
-
Determine before getting into cabin if skis go outside in racks on the doors or if you bring them inside (dependent on design, weather and/or size of skis) & poles go with you in the cabin.

Boarding:
-
Get all the way in, move all the way over & sit down.
-
Maintain positive control of skis and poles so that they don't fall over and injure anyone in the cabin,
-
Ensure last person(s) are all the way in & door closed completely, The pers closest to the door will most likely get boots bumped by door when it closes,
-
Good time to adjust your gear or use your phone.

Exiting:
-
Prepare for the exit about two towers before the top,
-
Take everything with you that you brought in including: garbage, gear and any children you are responsible for (and their stuff), waiting for missing assets to do a roundtrip will cost you one run,
-
Ensure you retrieve your skis before it departs,
-
Clear the unload area as quickly as possible.
Tram
If you have them, use them...
Very basic method of moving a new skier across flat terrain or mild slopes. It gets them used to sliding on skis while not under their own power (think gravity simulation) and requires them to have a good posture.

Key points:
-
ensure boots are correcly in bindings,
-
"non-pointy" end offered to the skier,
-
skis pointed straight forward,
-
stand tall, try not to get pulled-over,
-
skier stays to the side you are pulling from,
-
inform them where you are taking them,
-
have a key word or phrase to exit-the-ride.
