Start looking before the snow lands

This is a good source for new & used gear at reasonable prices with a good selection (you can also trade in your old stuff). Try to get out to one of the three shops as early in the pre-season as you can once they switch over winter gear as selection may decrease as the season progresses. https://playitagainsports.com/?country=CA&zip=K1A+0K2&radius=50&state=

Ottawa Ski Show

This Capt Bob's favorite October weekend

This is the Ski Show at the EY Center in Ottawa. It has what I think are the lowest prices on new gear and the largest Ski Swap (used gear) in Ottawa. Get there early for the best selection (you can also sell your gear). Bring a pair of Ski socks if you plan to buy boots. The cost to get in is FREE but they will ding you $10 for parking. Getting in to parking lot on Sat might be slow due to volume. I have bought my kids gear here for years and recommend it to one and all. https://ottawaskishow.com/
